pedrasse: electric guitar
initiated
his studies in 1984 with marquito cavalcante. his professional
career started in 1986 in balls, bars and nightclubs. In 1990
he entered the unicamp popular music course, finishing it by 1994.
during this time he played and recorded with many singers, such
as luiz gayotto, carmina juarez, and he also developed brazilian
rhythms researches in the cascavel – ce area, being financed by
faep – unicamp. edu pedrasse performed as musician in the “dança
de maranhenses” group, directed by tião carvalho. edu was the
guitarist from the jambêndola band (1992-95), having one of his
songs included in the band’s cd. in march o 99 he started his
post graduation (mastership level) in the institute of art – unicamp,
where he developed the thesis “banda de pífanos de caruaru– a
musical analysis”.
